The Met by Quarry Rock Developments

The Met is a new apartment community being built by Quarry Rock Developments situated at 2251 McAllister Avenue in Port Coquitlam, BC. It is anticipated to be completed by 2025 and will have an overall of 63 units.

The McAllister Mixed Use Development was produced to meet the standards set by the Mayor of Port Coquitlam’s Downtown Oversight Committee. It is created to match the design of City Hall, Memorial Park, the Provincial Court House, and the Villagio. This development aims to meet the “McAllister First” plan for the neighbourhood. The project will cover a large part of the city block and will include retail area, condos, a pedestrian sidewalk, and a new home for “Port Coquitlam Bowling”.

The Met, another task by Quarry Rock Developments, will contribute to the revitalization of Downtown Port Coquitlam. It will consist of 80 condominiums built above industrial areas on the ground floor and underground parking. The condos will vary from 646 to 1,237 sq ft with 1 to 3 bedrooms. There will be family-friendly systems and adaptable systems readily available.

Homeowners will have access to a multi-function room, a balcony with outside dining, lounges, and a kids’s play area.

Improvements to the location will include a public plaza on one side of The Met and a pathway connecting McAllister with Elgin Avenue. The plaza will also have space for a restaurant patio area.

In general, The Met and the McAllister Mixed Use Development are exciting jobs that will improve the neighbourhood of Port Coquitlam.

The Amenities of The Met by Quarry Rock Developments

Resident common areas at the building consist of a multi-purpose space on the 6th floor and a large balcony nearby. The balcony has two lounge locations, a play area for kids, an outdoor dining spot with seating for 40 individuals, and a raised vegetable garden.

The Donald Street Pathway will be encompassed link McAllister Avenue and Elgin Avenue, developing a new pedestrian walkway in the middle of the block.

At the south end of the path, there will be a 2,500-square-foot public plaza with benches for seating and an area for occasions. The eastern part of the plaza will have raised planters to make room for a restaurant patio area.
